The best days aren't always the busiest. Strong itineraries make room for the things you came to see without rushing from one experience to the next.
Some days may include a private guide or a dinner reservation worth dressing for. Others may be left open because the hotel is part of the experience, or because an unhurried morning is exactly what the trip needs.
The goal isn’t to fit in as much as possible. It’s to create days that feel balanced, leaving room for both the moments that were planned and the ones you never expected.
Beautifully Balanced
While you’re preparing for your trip, I’m preparing for your arrival.
In the weeks leading up to your departure, I review your reservations, reconfirm key details, and contact hotels to make sure everything is ready before you arrive. It’s the final round of planning before your trip begins.
Most of this happens before you ever leave home, so you can focus on looking forward to your trip instead of managing the logistics en route.
Almost all trips unfold exactly as planned. If yours doesn’t, you have someone who knows the details and can help navigate the issue, so you can get back to enjoying your time away.
WELL CONNECTED. Personally INVOLVED.
Carefully Considered Travel
Good travel isn’t about seeing the most or spending the most. It’s about thoughtful decisions that reflect the pace and places that are right for you.
Some people want to keep moving. Others are happiest with a morning or afternoon that has no plans at all. Most fall somewhere in between. Building around those preferences is where every itinerary begins.
When the planning is done well, travel feels easy. The right hotel is in the right place. The car arrives exactly when it’s needed. You spend less time wondering what to do next and more time enjoying where you are.
Thoughtful journeys shaped around the way you want to travel, with every detail handled personally.
The Chelsea Flower Show was the first request. A client with a lifelong love of gardens had always wanted to attend the United Kingdom's most celebrated floral event. What began there expanded into an exploration of England’s great historic gardens and grand country estates, with private transportation and exceptional five-star hospitality along the way.
Some occasions deserve more than a dinner reservation. A group of couples wanted to celebrate life together with a trip that felt both lively and memorable. What began with the urban energy of London and Edinburgh continued into the wilds of the Scottish Highlands, where five-star accommodations, private transportation, and traditional country pursuits revealed a completely different side of Britain.
Italy deserved more than a checklist. A couple planning their first visit wanted to experience the dolce vita in the country’s most iconic destinations. Their journey began in Venice, where they had time to take in its charm before continuing to Florence, Rome, and the Amalfi Coast, balancing extraordinary hotels, remarkable food, and the freedom to follow their curiosity.
The Backroads booking was only the beginning. While helping a client plan her Backroads adventure, along with the days before and after the tour, the pre-trip evolved into a European journey she found she could share with her sister. Together, they explored four countries with exceptional hotels, remarkable dining, and historic highlights, ending in the Backroads tour’s starting city, where one sister headed home while the other continued on to her active group adventure.

There is a particular kind of satisfaction in arriving somewhere and finding that everything is in place: the right room, the right transportation, the right pace, and a journey that has been thoughtfully considered before it begins.
That instinct was shaped early in my career coordinating traveling museum exhibitions around the world, where precision, adaptability, and calm problem-solving were essential. Today, it guides the way I plan travel for clients seeking journeys that feel personal, considered, and distinct.

"Kelly checked out a property we’d found, confirmed everything was legitimate, secured a better rate than we’d found, and handled every detail. Having her take the lead removed all the stress from booking."
— Cameron & Cody A.
"Kelly’s attention to detail and level of communication is the gold standard. Even after major last-minute changes, every aspect of our itinerary was phenomenal. We experienced iconic sights while also finding ourselves in places we didn't expect, creating memories that will last a lifetime. We're already planning another trip with her again."
— Jean Marc S.
"As someone with Celiac disease, I always thought Italy was off the travel menu. Kelly not only planned an incredible multi-city journey, but made sure every restaurant and experience was Celiac-friendly. Eating authentic (gluten-free) pizza in Rome for the first time in decades was unforgettable. I can’t recommend Kelly enough."
